Tavola rotonda Nazioni Unite: "From Pact to Progress: Open Science, Open Innovation and Digital Cooperation"

I principi e le pratiche della Scienza Aperta rappresentano un'opportunità per colmare il crescente divario all'interno e tra i paesi sviluppati e quelli in via di sviluppo. 

Si tratta di un cambio di paradigma che democratizza la creazione e la diffusione della conoscenza. Trascende i confini tradizionali richiedendo trasparenza e riproducibilità, garantendo che tutti coloro che hanno un interesse per la scienza possano contribuire indipendentemente dall'origine o dalle circostanze, impegnandosi per la responsabilità pubblica e l'integrità intellettuale e promuovendo collaborazioni scientifiche tra regioni geografiche, lingue e risorse diverse.

La Biblioteca Dag Hammarskjöld delle Nazioni Unite organizza una tavola rotonda virtuale dal titolo "From Pact to Progress: Open Science, Open Innovation and Digital Cooperation", in programma per martedì 15 luglio 2025, dalle 9:00 alle 10:15 (fuso orario orientale).

Il Pact for the Future promuove un ambiente aperto, equo e inclusivo per lo sviluppo e la cooperazione scientifica e tecnologica a livello mondiale, rafforzando la fiducia nella scienza e la cooperazione globale nell'innovazione. 

In vista della 4. Conferenza delle Nazioni Unite sulla Scienza Aperta, questo evento riunirà diversi stakeholder e delegati per discutere i meccanismi attraverso i quali sistemi di conoscenza equi e inclusivi possono cogliere le opportunità offerte dalle tecnologie nuove ed emergenti.

The United Nations Dag Hammarskjöld Library in the Department of Global Communications would like to invite you to a virtual panel discussion: “From Pact to Progress: Open Science, Open Innovation and Digital Cooperation”, scheduled for Tuesday, 15 July, 2025, 9:00 - 10:15 a.m. (ET).  This is a side event to the High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development

 The Pact for the Future promotes an open, fair and inclusive environment for scientific and technological development and cooperation worldwide, building trust in science and global cooperation in innovation. It aims to integrate a human rights perspective into regulatory and norm-setting processes for new and emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence. 

The principles and practices of Open Science present an opportunity to bridge the growing divide within and between developed and developing countries. It is a paradigm shift that democratizes knowledge creation and dissemination. It transcends traditional boundaries by requiring transparency and reproducibility, ensuring that all with an interest in science can contribute regardless of origin or circumstance, committing to public accountability and intellectual integrity, and advancing scientific collaborations across geographic region, language, and resources.  

Building momentum toward the 4th United Nations Open Science and Open Scholarship Conference, this side event will convene diverse stakeholders and delegates to discuss the mechanisms through which equitable and inclusive knowledge systems can seize on opportunities provided by new and emerging technologies.
