European University Association organizza una serie di webinar, in sostituzione del "2020 EUA Workshop on Academic Career Assessment in the Transition to Open Science".

The European higher education, research and innovation landscape is changing. A broad range of academic activities are gaining even more prominence, including Open Access publishing, digital learning and teaching, and new forms of knowledge exchange with society. Universities are rethinking how to incentivise and reward these and other activities as part of their approach to career assessment.

Webinar 1 – Introduction to Academic Career Assessment in Europe
Monday, 18 May 2020 at 14:00 – 15:00 CEST

EUA and Science Europe will present a comprehensive and up-to-date overview of academic career assessment in Europe. This overview will be based on recent surveys with universities and research funding and performing organisations, including “Research Assessment in the Transition to Open Science. 2019 EUA Open Science and Access Survey Results”.

Webinar 2 – Perspectives on Academic Career Assessment in Europe
Tuesday, 19 May 2020 at 14:00 – 15:00 CEST

Experts will discuss the EUA and Science Europe survey results on academic career assessment in Europe from different perspectives. These perspectives will include research in the transition to Open Science, learning and teaching, career development and mobility for early-stage researchers and the future of universities in Europe.

Webinar 3 – Concerted Approaches to Reviewing Academic Career Assessment
Wednesday, 20 May 2020 at 14:00 – 15:00 CEST

Reviewing academic career assessment is a shared responsibility and requires a concerted approach uniting the main actors. This panel session will bring together universities and other research performing organisations, research funding organisations, learned societies and policy makers to discuss opportunities and challenges to work together at the national and European level.
